Our practice is comprised of five staff members who are available year round to assist our clients. Our accountants have experience and knowledge in tax, accounting, and payroll.
Peter W. DeCapite
CPA
Graduated from James Madison University in 2003 with a degree in Accounting and John Carroll High School in 1999. He worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers before joining the firm in 2004 and becoming an owner in 2008. Pete’s experience includes income tax preparation, small business consultation and financial statement compilation. He became a CPA in 2005 and is a member of the MACPA and MSA. Pete also has served on the board of many non-profit organizations. He currently is President of The Ed Lally Foundation.
James R. DeCapite
CPA
Owner since its inception in 1989. Jim graduated from the University of Dayton in 1973 with a degree in Accounting. He was a manager with the ‘Big 8’ accounting firm Peat Marwick Mitchell for nine years and Maryland Cup as the Corporate Internal Audit Manager for three years before opening his practice. He is a member of the AICPA and has also served on the board of various non-profit groups. Jim has reduced his work-load over the past few years to begin to enjoy his retirement and grandchildren.
Debra L. Adams
Senior Accountant
A graduate of Loyola College earning a Bachelor of Business administration with a concentration in Accounting. She has over 30 years of experience in the accounting field. Debbie has a strong background in the technological aspect of accounting and payroll, especially Quickbooks.
Kristy M. Fox
Accountant
A graduate of Parkville High School, Kristy has over 15 years of office and accounting experience and has been with DeCapite & DeCapite for over 5 years. Her strengths include the preparation of tax returns and small business financial statements.
Megan E. Bowman
Office Manager
Graduated from Towson University with a B.S. in Family Studies and Community Development. Megan has over 5 years of experience in the office manager role and brings strong interpersonal skills to provide the best client experience we can offer.
